"Sunset Palms - Aitutaki" - - - OPEN EDITION - - - Canvas

Motif information:

Palm trees in the setting sun on the beach - a motif that - especially through the color scheme - is intended to "invite" you to relax and wanderlust. I took the motif and the underlying original photograph on the island of Aitutaki, which belongs to the Cook Islands. This island in the South Seas was one of the destinations on my longing trip around the world that I had made in 2010. Not only the unique, gigantic lagoon created by a fringing reef, but especially the unique friendliness and hospitality of the inhabitants of the Cook Islands were a formative and wonderful experience that changed my attitude to life in general. A special heartfelt thank you therefore goes to the wonderful hosts of my guesthouse and the people I have met there and fallen in love with. Unfortunately, these islands and its population are threatened with all their existence by climate change, too, and need the intercession and immediate help of the industrialized countries!
