Motif information:

Praying mantis on a human hand. The colors bring out the intricacies and the beautiful, sculptural form of the insect. On the other hand, this work clarifies my attitude that humans, animals and nature can only survive "hand in hand" with respect for each other. The earth belongs to all "inhabitants" and to nature equally. It is important to protect and preserve these nature-given beauty!

I took the motif respectively the underlying original photograph on the small island "Malolo Island". The island belongs to the archipelago of the Mamanucas in Fiji. I also visited this archipelago on my trip around the world, which took me into the fascinating and beautiful world of the South Seas.
